Tecmo Cup Soccer Game
Release Date: 1992
The intro reads: "He was born to play soccer. It's his entire life. His name is Robin Field..." Besides this wonderful literature we also learn that "His father was a famous player" and that Robin believes that "I'm better than my father!" Such a rebellious spirit is he, young Mr Field. When you hit start you are told, "Great games lie ahead of us." I'm not sure who the other people that the 'us' is referring to.  Well anyways, Robin must lead his team, the Razors, to victory in this Tecmo shame.
By his side are his mates, Brett, Kevin, Mark, and Alvan. And a Nintendo game wouldn't be complete without a love interest and homosexual undertones.
You get advice before and during games from Billy the gay polo instructor as to help you score, on the field and off.  He gives you such great inspirational lines as: "You can beat this team easily." and "You have to pass the ball more." Now the girl whose heart your playing for gives you memos now and then reading, "Robin <heart> Try your best out there.<heart>" Thanks bitch.
ROB RATING: 1 ROB
I never did actually learn her name because I threw the controller when Brett didn't pass the ball to the right man and the Gems scored. Oh yeah, you don't actually control the people like in every other good soccer game. It's like Dungeons and Dragons soccer- you have to keep your GUTS meter up while picking Pass, Shoot, or Dribble, on offense, and Mark, Tackle, or Punch on defense. This game lasts forever and pretty much blows.  But not as much as Robin's women, Alvan told me Robin's a regular pussy pilot.
