Chocolate Torte For Pessach (Passover/Dairy)


6 eggs separated
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup of chopped walnuts
115 gr. semi sweet chocolate (grated)
2 yellow "Delicious" apples - peeled
Grated 1/2 cup of Matzo Meal



Beat egg yolks with sugar until lemon coloured and thick. Gently stir
in nuts, chocolate, apples and matzo meal. Beat egg whites until they
form stiff peaks but are not dry. Fold into egg yolk mixture gently
but thoroughly. Turn mixture into a 9-inch spring form pan and bake
55 minutes at 175 C or until cake springs back when pressed lighlty
with your fingers. Cool in pan.
