| JOSEPH was the son of MARY JANE LAWSON & CHARLES SWEENEY. He was born in July 11, 1903 in Maytown, Kentucky. He died September 9, 1995. He was married ELIZABETH LITTLE on September 15, 1924. She was born March 6, 1904 & died November 11, 1975. They are both buried in RestHaven Cemetery in Corbin, Ky. Joe had a store and Post Office next to his sister PEARL across the street from the home of his parents. Eventually they moved to Corbin, Kentucky after living most of his life in Simpson. They had 6 children: 1. IVORY marrried BEECHER STAPLETON on August 30, 1947. They had 4 sons: 1A. LARRY 1B. MARK 1C. GLENN 1D. WAYNE Ivory's husband died. She married ? VANWINKLE. 2. JOSEPH EARL was born April 26, 1927 and died April 29, 1927. 3. ELSIE was born October 9, 1929 and died in 1931 4. BETTIE JO was born May 15, 1930 and died in 1935. 5. BOYD GRAY was born October 16, 1934. He married Rena Thomas. They have 3 kids: 5A. LISA married ? GRIFFITH 5B. RENEE 5C. SETH 6. SHELBY JEAN was born December 7, 1937. She married FRANK ROGER COMBS.
