Finally, Ms. Dawkins and I have our students today. It is a relief to see so many students done. I receive two more writing assignments and grade the ones I have. One person got a 57%, one person got a 65% and one person got an 87%. I thought when I graded the first two very low grades that maybe the kids didn't understand the project so well. Then I graded the final one, someone who had gotten a B, and realized that the students just weren't looking at what they were suppose to have in their writing assignment. Most students haven't done it, so I think thouse who did will get 1 point extra credit for every ten points that they received. (Their grade is equivelent to their amount of points.) Immediately preceeding this, I asked Ms. Dawkins if she would like me to grade the final projects. I was told I was aloud to. Then, before I was about to leave a student had a question about her grade and Ms. Dawkins told me I was not aloud to finish grading the projects. She said that if a parent had a question about the project grade then she would have to say something like, "Jewell graded it." and she would be refering to a student. She said, "Legally speaking I can not allow you to grade this project."
