Today Ms. Dawkins was out. We had a "substitute", but I told her that she could just sit at Ms. Dawkins' desk because I was teaching that day. I introduced the lesson. I had one of the students read what we were doing and everyone wanted to read the example silently to their selves. When they were done with that we discussed it all and I allowed them to get started. (See previous post for project) I set up a system with the computers so that everyone who needed one got a chance to use one. Most of the students seemed to like the project and some even said that they would work on it at home even though they will have plenty of class time to do it. I haven't actually talked to Ms. Dawkins about this project, its more of a Jewell and kids project. Well, I have, but I changed it since the last time that I talked to her about it. Anyways, at the end of the class I asked the kids what they thought of me as a teacher and if there was anything that I could change. Some say make everything fun and some said to take out the "Biography Project" and some wouldn't tell me why they didn't like the class. Well, one wouldn't because she said she didn't want to be mean to me, but I'm not really worried about it because everyone says I'm doing just fine with teaching.
