Celebrate Native Ministries Sunday
"As you therefore have recieved Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him,..."
-- Colossians 2:6, NRSV
Native Ministries in the Alaska Missionary Conference
Your offering on Native American Ministries Sunday will support Native ministries right here within the Alaska Missionary Conference!  Proceeds from Native Ministry Sunday offerings help conferences, provide educational assistance for Native Americans in the form of scholarships, and assist with the establishment of urban Native ministries.

In Alaska, travel is often a hindrance to providing ministry. In the AMC offerings are used to send mission workers to and from villages not accessible by car.  In some areas, we help provide a United Methodist presence and children's educational experiences where there is no United Methodist congregation.
Children from Anvik arrive by plane for camp.
AMC mission worker Bonnie Campbell with children from the village of Grayline.
Enjoying camp!
Offerings from Native Ministry Sunday also help provide camp scholarships; fund ministry and assistance to Chukotka native ministries in the Russian Far East; promote Native issues and perspectives as relate to Native Alaskans and provide costly air transportation, communications, resources, and support for congregations ministering to and with Native people in Alaska.
Your gift makes a world of difference - right here in Alaska!
