Perfect conformity to the will of my dear Savior,
That every thought, and every word I utter,
Every action will bring Him glory and honor.
Love too great for our finite minds to conceive,
Joy too abundant for our fainting hearts to believe,
Peace like a river that floods its banking,
And patience - longsuffering - that's wonderfully genuine.
To be gentler than a lamb
And better than money;
Yea, just like Jesus,
With gentleness and goodness beyond the ordinary!
Faith that does not waver,
Meekness that dispels anger with a soft answer,
Temperance - in all things to have self-control...
All may be mine if I crown Jesus King of my soul.
I pledge allegiance to my Saviour;
Ere my motto: Death before dishonor;
In my life, may the fruit of the Spirit bear forever,
So I can be like Jesus;
That's all I long for.
