Ned: "Well, I see you're all packed and ready to go."

Lois: "Aren't you supposed to be in court with your family?"

Ned: "Well you're my family too."

Lois: "Don't push it."

Brenda: "I'm gonna call Sonny and see if he's ready to leave."

Lois: "Oh, okay." (She picks up the phone and hands it to Brenda)

Brenda: "You know, I think I'll use the phone in the studio." (She leaves the room leaving Ned and Lois alone)

Lois: "Um, Ashton, look...my main focus is Miguel's concert, okay? So please don't sing me any songs. When it's your turn to perform, I promise I'll listen."

Ned: "Fine, I just came by to wish you luck."

Lois: " 'Kay, thanks."

Ned: "Oh and one more thing."

Lois: "Here we go again!"

Ned: "You know, we're a lot alike."

Lois: "You're right! I don't wanna hear this!"

Ned: "You shouldn't be going to Puerto Rico anymore than I should've knuckled under Katherine's black-mail."

Lois: "Talk about comparing apples to onions!"

Ned: "This trip is very symbolic of everything that's wrong with our relationship."

Lois: "Tell it to your shrink."

Ned: "Oh, I don't have to - I don't have one."

Lois: "Then find one!"

Ned: "I know what you're saying to yourself. You're saying I'll deal with Ashton as soon as I fulfill my obligations to Sonny, Brenda, Miguel, L&B. I know this because I did it myself. You see, I put off telling you the truth about Katherine because I had to fulfill my obligations to my family, ELQ…"

Lois: "Not to mention, Katherine!"

Ned: "To hell with Katherine! The point is we have to start putting ourselves first for a change."

Lois: "You've been putting yourself first your entire life."

Ned: "Until you came along. Until you showed me how good it feels to care more about someone else than myself, or about making a bunch or about accumulating power."

Lois: "You gonna tell me something I haven't already heard because I really gotta go!"

Ned: "I want you back in my life. Lois. I'm very good at hiding my feelings, except with you. What you see is real and forever. I'm going to miss you. Every minute of every day while you're gone. I love you very much Mrs. Ned Ashton."

(Brenda walks in) "Oh, I am so sorry to break this up, but Sonny has already left for the airport and we need to leave now."

Ned: "Okay. I'm sure the concert will be a huge hit. Have a safe trip. I'll be thinking about you."
