Isn't he a handsome young man??

Ryan Douglas is 11 years old in these pictures, his Birthday is August 25th. He is my pride and joy, as well as he holds my heart. He is a very sensitive and loving young man. He is very sensitive to other peoples feelings and always puts others before himself. For an 11 year old, I'm sad to say, he has been through probably more than any of us as adults. He has low self esteem, yet I will never understand why!!!

He is a handsome child as well as giving. He is in the 5th grade and makes A/B honor roll every time except the last time, plays excellent baseball, basketball and hockey. Although he is only involved in baseball at the moment, much to his displeasure.

At school he is very active as well. He just recently had his art work picked for the PTA Art Show and displayed at the school, was involved in the talent show just this month and sang solo, as well as won the D.A.R.E program for the entire 5th grade class. He was also chosen for the Leadership Council for his class.

Tex is in the process of adopting him, non contested adoption from his biological father. That in itself should sum up why my baby has such low self esteem. He has been treated horribly!! We won't go there, but if any of you know Country music there is a song that Ryan says sums up how he feels about daddy (Steve) "He Didn't Have To Be" by Brad Paisley. Talk about making a mother cry her eyes out......have your 11 year old hear this song before you and come tell you that he wants you to listen to it because that is how he feels about his step - father and then ask if he can legally become his daddy........(very tearful moment in our house for me) and yes people Jet can cry. LOL

Well, that is all about my son at the moment.....will add more as he continues to grow.....now you can see why this one holds his mama's heart and will always be his mama's boy. (S)

Ryan's 11th Birthday

Taken at Ryan's 11th Birthday Party. My baby boy growing up....he is as tall as his mother and growing like a weed. I can't believe he'll be 12 years old this year, where does the time go. In case you couldn't tell he is his mother's heart!!!

Baseball

As you can tell my son is into many things, would be into more if his parents had the time. His dream outside of baseball is to also get involved into Hockey. He is an excellent baseball player and takes much pride in his appearance on and off the field. I always tell him he needs to get really good to take care of his mother in her old age...(s)

D.A.R.E. Metals

A very proud mama moment.....Ryan won first place for the Dare Program Essay writing. For those of you who don't know what Dare is it is a school program promoting against drugs. Ryan wrote the best essay for the whole 5th grade and had to read it in front of the whole school. A very proud mama moment..... (wiping tear).....

Talent Show

Yet another proud mama moment!! Ryan sang solo at the school talent show and did such a wonderful job. I have no idea where he gets his nerve nor his talent singing, but what a wonderful job he did!!!!
