| The Westland Widgeon was a light general-purpose civil & military helicopter, & could seat up to five people. It was powered by one Alvis Leonides 521/2 nine-cylinder air-cooled radial engine mounted above the centre-section bottom truss, driving a 3-blade all-metal 49ft 2in main rotor. A shaft from the main rotor drove the 8ft 5in diameter anti-torque rotor. The Widgeon was 40ft 10in long, 5ft 10in wide & 13ft 2.75in high. It weighed 5,900lbs & had a maximum speed of 104mph. | ||
