| Helicopters are in use with nearly every air arm in the world. They can take-off vertically & hover, making them ideal for operation from small helipads on ships or from fields. Helicopters are slower & more vulnerable to AAA & SAMs than fixed-wing aircraft, but their VTOL capability makes up for this.
