The Slingsby T.67 Firefly is a licence-built version of the French Fournier RF-6B. The airframe is not wooden but plastic in the T.67. The RAF uses the Firefly T.67M as a light trainer, which is powered by a more powerful fuel-injected AEIO-360 engine with a constant speed propeller, but no provision for 68 litre (15 Imperial Gal.) root fuel tanks like in civilian versions. The Firefly has a 10.59m (34ft 9in) span, is 7.26m (23ft 10in) long, has a maximum take-off weight of 907kg (2,000lbs) & has a cruising speed of 127mph at 8,000ft. The Firefly has a range of 356 miles.
