| About me: I am a 36 year old male who started doing landscaping about five years ago. My friend bugged me for about three years to do it. I finally got sick of him pestering me so I said "what the heck, lets do it". After about one month he bailed on me. I was left with three customers and a dinky little lawnmower. I did not want to leave my three customers hanging so I went on. I wanted to run my business on honesty, reliability, knowledge and affordability. I started by becoming a Master Gardener of Greenville(through Clemson University Extension.) My business started growing a little at a time, just barely making enough to survive. I now have seven lawn mowers and a lot of fun landscaping toys. I have to say that they I owe it all to my customers, they are the greatest, for sure. I run my business differently for sure. I offer free estimates. I will always be on time or I will call. I will never take a job I cant handle. I do not expect to get paid until job is done. I will not raise my rates, but I do ask for a raise at least every two years. I will not do a job unless I can do it right the first time. Like the old saying "there is never enough money to to it the first time, but there is always enough money to do it right the second time". I do about 95% residential work because I like to work with people on a one-to-one basis. My other 5% is small commercial business. I will say that there is no such thing as an instantly beutifully landscaped yard. I have worked on my yard for 12 years and I am never completly satisfied. The work never seems to end. I have completely remodeled my home from top to bottom, and I enjoyed my yard the most. It is the most satisfing. Unfortunalty mother nature has not read the same books I did on how to landscape my yard, but I have learned a few tricks along the way. My home page has aritcles on different landscaping needs and ideas. I now specialize in lawn maintenance, shrub and flower planting, shrub and small tree removal, flower bed design, seeding, fertilizing, mulch, gutter cleaning, leaf disposal, pressure washing and handyman work in the off season. I hope I can get to meet you soon. PS: All estimates are negotiable |
