| So what are frogs? Frogs are amphibans. An amphiban is an animal that starts life out in the water and then as it gets older leaves the water. Amphiban means two lives. Other amphibans are salmanders, newts, and toads. Frogs start life as tadpoles and develop into frogs. |

| Frogs have no hair or feathers. Colors of frogs varies from stripes to dots. You could find a frog in almost any color. Frogs live everywhere around the world excpet in the artic. Frogs like to live along ponds, streams, trees, under logs, and even some like your own backyard! |

| If you can't find frogs where you live then going to a zoo or a place you might find out about them is an exbit. Remeber these frogs you see are studied and cared for by experts. You shouldn't ever keep a frog in captivity even if you think you know what it is. Some frogs look alike so you might be feeding it the wrong food. You should ask someone who knows about frogs first and ask them about it. If they say it's highly posinous don't keep it! Some frogs can kill up to ten people with there posin. Try to keep a frog with little or no posin at all. The best way to get a frog is to get one at your local pet store. This would help you know what food and environment is best for it. |

| A frog's basic diet of food is insects or other small foods. A tadpole's is plant alge, small insects, or even other tadpoles. Some frogs eat differently howerver. The African Bullfrog eats worms, large insects, mice, and even other frogs! |
| Frogs are wonderful animals. But scientists say frogs are vanishing from the earth. A reason is from building buildings on top of frog homes. You could help a frog though. When you find one don't kill it. Don't keep it as a pet but watch it in it's own environment. Also keep cats, dogs, and other animals away from places you have found frogs. These animals may try to kill the frog. So for just now enjoy living with them. |
