| Washing your hands after touching a frog or toad is very important. Most frogs and toads contain poison. If this is on your hands it is very important to get it off. If you do not get it off and swallow any you could get very sick. Some frogs contain very little poison, some contain enough to kill a mouse. Others can contain poison that is strong enough to kill up to ten people! Washing your hands is important in order to get the poison off and not swallow any, you need to wash your hands. |

| Frogs and toads should be handled with caution. For some frogs contain poison. you should not let dogs or cats near frogs because if the dog or cat bit the frog the cat or dog may get sick from the poison. Dogs and cats will also kill a frog for fun. Frogs are not as big as you think so you should handle them with gentle care. Always put a frog back where you found it. If you don't you might put him back in the wrong environment and he may die. Do not throw a frog into the water as for this may hurt him. Always put him back very gentle and just let the frog climb or swim out of your hands. |

| If you want to look for frogs and toads, their are things you need to know. First you should wear old boots when you are walking in the water. If you want to wear bug spray you can, but be warned that if you touch a frog he may absorb it through his skin. This may cause him to get deathly sick or die. For nighttime searching it is a good idea to grab a flashlight. You should never go alone. Always take someone with you to help you if needed. Beware of other animals like alligators, crocodiles, snakes, and other deadly animals. These animals vary depending on where you live. You should check to see what wildlife lives in your communtiy before seaching for a frog. It might be a good idea to carry a recorder and record frog crooks. Then you can play them back and see if you get a reply. Maybe you can even try to locate them. |
