| This is the next phase in the process. After the frogs mate the female usually lays eggs in the water. The eggs are jelly-like and look like clear marbles with black dots in the middle. The black dot is actually the tadpole inside developing. The female frog usually lays many eggs. One reason for this is if the frog layed only five, those eggs would most likely get eaten. Even if all of those five hatch they still would most likely get eaten. So the more the merrier. |
