The Yankees/RedSox Rivalry Isn't Over Yet...

With only half the season left, you can't possibly assume that the Yanks will always remain in 1st place. With the Red Sox trailing behind by only 3 games, it brings to mind a "What if" since the Red Sox will play the Yanks at Yankee Stadium on Friday - Sunday.
The ever-remembered rivalry competes year after year for the postseason, since both teams are a part of the AL East. The Yanks lead in a ton of offensive categories, such as runs and hits, but they also lead in strike-outs. They're lineup has had adjustments all over from a pitching staff, which currently has a rotation of 6 starting pitchers - Orlando Hernandez, David Wells, Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Mike Mussina, and the newly acquired - Jeff Weaver. The Yanks also got a hold of Juan Rivera, but he was injured by slamming into a cart out on the field at Yankees Stadium while he was practicing with ground balls. His replacement...Raul Mondesi, who has added a fair share of hits to the Yankees lineup. Plus, Chris Widger is a now usable catcher, which the Yankees like to play every-so-often. But what about the Red Sox? Of course they have their usual strengths like Nomar Garciaparra at shortstop, and Shea Hillenbrand, Pedro Martinez... etc, etc, etc. They're also looking for a new, younger, pitching ace to add to their roster as well. All in all, it will be a great race to the pennant this season, as it is always.
