Well, the Yankees lost the World Series to the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2, but who cares! No one can beat the Yankees. And have you noticed it took 2 people to actually beat the Yankees (MVPs) Don't worry, next year we'll come back even better!! Don't worry!!! Yankees are still number 1! But for now, here are the top ten highlights for the postseasons!

  • The O'Neill Ovation. Fans at Yankee Staduim thought it might be his last game in the house Ruth built, so during Game 5, they gave him a standing ovation. O'Neill looked a little embrassed as he walked back to the dugout.

  • Winnig Game 5 of the divison series over Oakland. The ground trembled near 3rd base during the Yankees' 5-2 victory, Scott Brsius said. It was pretty amazing they won. 2 games to 0, the Oakland a's needed ONE more game in order to go against another team to win the American Series Division. They were the 1st team EVER to win a five game playoff series agter losting the first two games at home. "We're not going home until somebody beats us," Derek Jeter said.

  • Roger Clemens' performance of the World Sereis. The Yankees had been out aced by The Backs duo of Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson in the first 2 games. Game 3 wasn't the elmination point, but it couldn't possibly be any worse. After a sore handstring and a very short temper, Clemens' perhaps saved the Yankees series.

  • Alfonso Soriano's homer to win ALCS game 4. It was bottom of the 9th, and the Yanks were afraid that they would lose. The score was tied 1 to 1. Alfonso steps up to the plate, and the ball comes and SMACK! homerun!!! This was the 1st rookie to ever hit a homerun in postseason history!!!! Woo hoo!

  • Scott Brosius game tying homer in Game 5 of the World Series. The Yankees were down to out in the bottom of the 9th and the closer Kim was up to pitch. One person was on base, and Brosius hit a homerun to tie the game!!! Hard to believe he might not be back next season.

  • Soriano's winning hit in Game 5 of the World Series. Wow! Hard to believe this kid is just a rookie. The Yankees tied the game, and at the bottom of the 12th inning, slam, Soriano smacks the ball hard and gets a base hit, getting Knoblauch to get home.

  • Mike Mussina's performance in Game 3 of th divison series. You gotta give credit to this man for pitching 7 straight innings. This man is one of the main reasons the Yanks made it this far

  • The Jeter flip aka "THE PLAY" How much can one man do?? He's a shortstop and he grabs the ball and runs to home. He throws the ball to Jorge Posada who tags him out, stopping the A's from tying the game.

  • The Jeter foul flip. As I said, how much can one man do?? The ball pops up to the foul line. Shance Spencer I think, tries to catch it, but gives up. All of the sudden, Jeter comes from no where, jumps into the barricades, and then catches the ball, before flipping into the crowds. Now that's what I call great!

  • Jeter's solo home run in the 10th inning!!! Yeah, it might not be a lot, but it earned him the title "MR.NOVEMBER!" Woo HOOO!!
