Lonely mountains. Jagged rocks. Even a boulder that looks like a slice of pie. All of them come into breathtaking focus in rare three-dimensional pictures from NASA missions on Mars. Documenting the desolate, dry desert planet, these images come from Mars Pathfinder, a lander that touched down in a dry flood channel named Ares Vallis in July 1997. And Spirit, a six-wheeled rover that reached Gusev Crater in January 2004.
