The events, news, thoughts and scribbles of

March 2001

And the big news is... I turned 27.  Happy Birthday to me...

Brief highlights from my 27th Birthday

  1. Massive Shop-o-rama on Amazon.com and other sundry b-day gifts

  2. Going to Lewiston to see Jawbone play at the Irish Pub

  3. Having an entire Chocolate Cake all to myself :-)

Other than that, there's not much to report... Pullman does not offer the same options for a b-day celebration as Seattle does.  :-(

On the other hand, the month wasn't an entire loss... There was Spring Break, and a rather hilarious Karaoke adventure that involved myself and my cousin...but that story will have to wait until I have more time.  In other brief news, the Campus to Community event that I had been marketing like a crazy-woman at work finally happened in March.  It was a big success, especially in the media attention category.  Apparently the CSLC has not gotten much media coverage in the past.  I got us on the radio, TV and in the newspaper, TWICE!  And I had no idea that past years had not been like that, so it was a cool surprise when my boss, Melanie, told me how excited she was over our publicity.  I've attached the Evergreen articles below.  :-)

This was the preliminary article, seen in the Friday, March 30th issue of The Daily Evergreen:

This is the feature done after Campus To Community 2001.  It was in the April 2, 2001 issue of The Daily Evergreen.

The Jawbone show review and the amazingly unforgettable Karaoke adventure might be posted on this page in a few days, but I'd check the April page... Considering how tardy I am with even creating an April page, I better save some material for it, eh?  :-)

Roses & Balloons,

Jennifer
