Oh joy... another lovely Valentine's Day is almost upon us.  All I can do is say "YUCK!!!"  As you should know, V-Day is one of my most hated holidays, for various reasons that I will not go into at this point.  It would take too long to deliver my anti-Valentine's Day speech properly, and quite frankly, it doesn't deserve that much attention.  Poo-poo on red hearts and all sorts of mushy stuff over the next week.  I know, I'm a big Valentine's Day Scrooge, but ya know, I'd gladly change my piss-poor attitude if someone would give me a reason not to hate it.  LOL.  Like THAT will ever happen!!!!  Seriously though, in my years of dating and watching the mayhem that is V-day, I have grown to loathe the saps who go all out for all the WRONG reasons, leaving those who actually choose to participate because we really mean what we say every day, not just once a year, at a loss for what to do to really show we care.  I hate superficial BS and frankly, that is what this holiday has become, in my humble opinion.  Granted, I'll take any roses a man is willing to give to me, at any time (I love roses....), but if they are given with the wrong intent or ill reason, then they are just roses and not a genuine token of affection, which is something I think any woman would much rather  have.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure there are hundreds, if not thousands of other ladies out there that would give a big "alleluhia" to a man that would not be a selfish, lying, idiotic snake and actually be himself and have fun with whatever relationship he may be able to have with a woman at the moment.  Yes, I did say at the moment.  There is something to be said for mature, adult relationships that can exist without worrying about labels and nametags associated with whatever you and your mate are supposed to be.  If you enjoy someone's company, then enjoy it for what it is.  Appreciate the compliments they give and the affection they show, and just go with the flow.  I think both people are much better off that way...

But enough about that.  I did not come here to rant about V-day, although it is kind of fun.

This post is mainly to say yes, I do remember I have a website, and yes, I have been meaning to do something with it, but alas, school is getting in the way.  I've been super busy with KUGR stuff, trying to get internships, Cable 8 News, classes, etc.  It's been insane.  So... as a warning to those who actually hope to get updates on my busy and hectic life here, don't hold your breath.  If anything, I'll post pictures to show how much fun (or not) that I'm  having here during my last semester and hopefully those will say more than 1,000 of my poorly-chosen words could.  :-)

Ciao!
