Person in the Mirror
When you get what you want in your struggle for life, And the world makes you King or Queen for a day. Just go to the mirror and look at yourself, And see what that person has to say.
For it isn't your family or a friend, Who's judgement upon you must pass. The persons whose verdict counts the most in the end, Is the one starring back at you from the glass.
You may fool the world down the pathway of years, And get pats on the back as you pass. But the final reward will be heartache and tears, If you cheated the person in the glass.
