Grandma

I remember the compasion in your eyes,
Warm hugs that never stopped.
The talks we'd have at night,
And the warmth of the hallway light.
The trips to the berry farm,
Times you kept me from harm.
All the times that I needed you,
Your open arms I always turned to.
Remembering the day,Gone forever away.
Your funeral full of tears,
My heart full of new fears.
Everyone seemed at a lost.
There was no more shoulder,
Tears burning down my face.
Pain I felt then and still now.
Wishing now I said good- bye.
Maybe now I would not cry.
Knowing you loved me,
Wishing you could stay,
I still miss you to this day.
