This list is in no particular order. Please know that the effects of abuse are widespread and varied. As hard as you may think your life is the list above are largely connected. Healing from the effects of abuse may take a long time but if you think of it, abuse happend in some cases for a long time so healing can be the same way. The first step is to STOP blaming yourself because you were the victim. Second step is to find someone to talk to about this whether it's a friend, family member or a counselor. You do not need to go through this alone.
What I have found is the most important part of healing is to have Jesus Christ in your heart. All things are possible through HIM. Do know that Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died for us. By allowing Jesus to be in your life will bring you love, peace and healing. |
