More Uses for
Dead Flesh
I like making tacos, especially soft tacos with flour tortillas.  I don't know how to make the tortillas, or else I'd have that recipe here too, so instead, here's something to put inside the store-bought ones.
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (or turkey)
1 onion, white or yellow
2 small (roma) tomatoes
OR 1 can RoTel diced tomatoes and chilis (depending on how hot you want it; their Hot flavor is damn hot)
1 bell pepper
1 can refried beans (any style)
cumin (or comino, it's the same spice)
garlic salt
chili powder

First, dice up the onion, bell pepper and tomatoes (if using tomatoes) to 1/4 to 1/8 of an inch.
(click here to see how to dice efficiently). Throw the onions and bell peppers into your non-stick skillet, and crumble the entire bulk of ground meat into the mix with the heat turned on to medium.  As the skillet gets hot, stir the mixture and use a spatula to break up the larger pieces of meat to help it cook faster.  Add the seasonings, at a ratio of about 4:1:1, meaning: for every four teaspoons of garlic salt, add one of comino and one of chili powder; I never measure, but eyeballing the seasonings it'll come out the same 'cuz comino is really strong, and chili powder isn't very good in mass quantities.  But, it's all up to personal taste, and I'm just addressing my own experiences.

Before the meat is completely cooked, add the diced tomatoes, or can of RoTel (drained, save the juice).  Once the meat is fully cooked, add the can of refried beans; it'll be thick at first, but once the beans get hot, if the mixture is still too thick, use the RoTel juice to thin it out, or use tap water if using tomatoes.  The mixture should be kinda pasty, but not runny enough to drip off of a spoon; after all, you're going to stuff tortillas with it, and you don't want it to squirt out the back when you bite into it.  If it is kinda runny, just let the mixture boil for a few minutes at a low temperature.

Next, gather up whatever you want to top your tacos with: lettuce, fresh tomates, salsa, cheese, sour cream, macaroni, paint chips, whatever you like.  Pretend you work for
