The story begins with an intorduction to the superheroes. Each one has a power which they use to fight evil. But when the heroes can't help everyone, the people get angry... Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone among others, decide to pack up the bags and become what they have never been: Normal... Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) and Helen Parr (Elastigirl) have three kids: Violet, (Who can create force feilds and turn invisible) Dash, (Who can move at superspeed) and Jack Jack (the baby) who doesn't have a super power. Anyway, Bob has always tried to do his best at his job, but if he gets angry, he may take it out and reveal his super powers... which would mean the family has to move. Again. When he gets fired he doesn't want to tell Helen, but before he gets a chance, he gets another job opportunity... a maniac machine needs to be destroyed...
"The Incredibles" is a great movie. It's got a plot and colorful characters kids will love and relate too, and has great humor that adults will laugh out loud for. The only really bad attribute I can think of is the characters often, uh, argue, which gets annoying pretty fast. And kids might not be able to sit through a 2 hour movie, no matter how good it is. But still, I suggest you go see it.

Note: I barely told you anything about the plot. It keeps developing and changing throughout t he story. I've barey scratched the tip of the iceburg. They eventually run into a bad guy and the whole family has to fight him. (Including Violet and Dash.)

Rated For:
Violence: It's a lot of bloodless punch-and-kick type stuff. Totally not a problem.

Sexual and Nudity: There's a bit of a side plot where Helen (Elastigirl) is scared that Bob (Mr. Increible) is cheating on her, and there is some kissing. And there is a short butt pinching scene (Can I call it that?)(between Bob and Helen) but it's pretty hard for kids to catch. I'm making it sound worse then it is. No nudity.

Language: None

Offence to Chirstianity: About 4 "Oh My Gods" all by Edna (Did Elastigirl have any? I don't think so...)

Other: There is a skeleton that Bob (Mr. Incredible) hides behind...yeah.

Cornfeild's Rating: PG

Quotes:

first lines Mr. Incredible: "Is this on? I mean, can break through walls, I just can't... can't get this on... "

Lucius Best: "Superladies, they're always trying to tell you their secret identity. Think it'll strengthen the relationship, or something like that."

Bob Parr: Bob is helping an old woman find a loophole in her insurance policy
very loudly "I'm sorry, ma'am, but I can't help you. I know you're upset..."
drops his voice "Pretend to be upset!"
old woman bursts into dramatic sobs as she leave his cubicle

Bob Parr: "It's not a graduation. He's moving from the 4th grade to the 5th grade."
Helen Parr: "It's a ceremony."
Bob Parr: "It's psychotic! They keep creating new ways to celebrate mediocrity."

Lucius Best: "So now I am in deep trouble. I mean one more jolt of this death ray and I am an epitaph. Somehow I manage to find cover, and what does Baron von Ruthless do? He starts monologuing! He starts like this prepared speech about how feeble I am compared to him, how inevitable my defeat is, how the world will soon be his."

Bob notices the little boy on the tricycle staring at him for the second day in a row
Bob Parr: "What are YOU waiting for?"
Little Boy on Tricycle: "I don't know. Something incredible, I guess."
Bob Parr: "Me too, kid."

Edna 'E' Mode: "You need a new suit, that much is certain."
Bob Parr: "A new suit? Where the heck am I gonna get a new suit?"
Edna 'E' Mode: "You can't! It's impossible! I'm far too busy - so ask me now before I become sane."
Bob Parr: "You want to make me a suit?"
Edna 'E' Mode: "You push too hard, darling! But I accept!"

Edna 'E' Mode: "It will be bold! Dramatic!"
Bob Parr: "Yeah!"
Edna 'E' Mode: "Heroic!"
Bob Parr: "Yeah. Something classic - like Dynaguy. Oh, he had a great look - the cape and the boots..."
Edna 'E' Mode: "No capes!"
Throws a wadded ball of paper at Bob's head
Bob Parr: "Isn't that my decision?"
Edna 'E' Mode: "Do you remember Thunderhead? Tall, storm powers? Nice man, good with kids."
Bob Parr: "Listen 'E'..."
Edna 'E' Mode: "November 15th of '58! All was well, another day saved... when his cape snagged on a missile!"
Bob Parr: "Thunderhead was not the brightest bulb..."
Edna 'E' Mode: "Stratogirl! April 23rd, '57! Cape caught in a jet turbine!"
Bob Parr: "E, you can't generalize about these things..."
Edna 'E' Mode: "Metaman - express elevator! Dynaguy - snagged on takeoff! Splashdown - sucked into a vortex! NO CAPES!"

going through an identification process
Edna 'E' Mode: "Edna Mode..."
laser guns point at Elastigirl
"...and guest."
laser guns retract

Edna 'E' Mode: "I cut it a little roomy for the free movement; the fabric is comfortable for sensitive skin; it can also withstand a temperature of over 1000 degrees. Completely bulletproof; and machine washable, darling. That's a new feature."

Edna 'E' Mode: "Luck favors the prepared."

Dashiell 'Dash' Parr: checking himself out in his superhero costume "The Dash likes." Helen Parr: "Put these on. Your identity is your most valuable possession. Protect it."

Violet Parr: "Mom and Dad's lives could be in jeopardy, or worse - their marriage!"

Syndrome: to Mr. Incredible "Elastigirl? You married Elastigirl?" sees the kids "And got biz-zay!"

Bob Parr: "Showtime."
