Spring Comes

February 28, 2005

Rain calling in Spring again.
It beckons, clinging to my window.
Walking, walking, running down in streaks -
Tiny rivers colliding together, growing.
Oh Spring, oh Spring, will you come soon?
I've waited for a while,
Shivering and colorless save for the evergreens.
Where have you been all this time,
Spring? The grass and air sigh,
Exhaling their perfume kept hidden for
A time. our hearts lighten as we
Smell the fragrance of life coming.
How much longer 'till the color returns
And brightens our days? Playing in the sunshine
And the new gentler wind that kisses,
Eraces, the memories of the biting
Winter, leaving aches and pains, and chills.
Spring, you are more than welcome.
