Help me name this...see bottom of page

June 29th, 2004

You're standing there
With your heart firmly planted
You're handed these words
Loaded with theology
You struggle to hold them
You weigh, you deny and toss away

I'd like to lift one up
But your arms are too full
If you could only see my hand
Waiting, waiting, wondering

Can I hand this over to you?
Could you trust me to be true
And show you that He cares?
Will you drop it as I turn?
He won't fail you like all of the rest.

I'm standing here
With my feet firmly planted
I'm handed these boards
Loaded with responsibility
I struggle to hold them
They toss and rock and fall

I try to lift them up,
But the number's too much
If I could only see the hand
Waiting, waiting, wondering

Will I hand these over to You?
Can I trust You to take them
And keep them in the air?
Will You drop them as I turn?
Will You fail me like all of the rest?

Can't we all just trust in You
To do the things that You've promised?
We're so small and it's all too big
Can't You just take us away, away from here?

I will hand this over to You
I can trust You to be true
And know that You care.
I'll drop this doubt as I turn
And run to You from all the rest.

Hey! I need help with a title for this one...if you have any comments or suggestions, post it HERE
