"A virgin will become pregnant and have a son, and he will be called Immanuel"
(which means, "God is with us"). (Matthew 2:23)

His Birth Was Different.

He was born in bethlehem nearly
2000 years ago. On the night of his
birth an angel appeared saying:

"I am here with good news for you, which will
bring great joy to all the people. This very day in
David's town your Saviour was born - Christ the
Lord! And this is what will prove to you: you will
find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a
manger." Suddenly a great army of heaven's angels
appeared with the angel, singing praises to God:

"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace
on earth to those with whom he is pleased!"
(Luke 2:10-14)

This child Jesus was more than an ordinary
child. He was the one sent from God to be the
Saviour of all people.

"For God Loved the world so much that he gave his
only Son, so that everyone who believes in him
may not die but have eternal life."
(John 3:16)

His Life On Earth Was Different

He showed us by example how to find joy and
real purpose for living.

"I have come in order that you might have life-life
in all its fullness."
(John 10:10)

He wrote no book. He accumulated no possessions.
But after almost 2000 years he is still the one central
character of history! His life was different
because He did not sin!

"You know that Christ appeared in order to take
away sins, and that there is no sin in him."
(1 John 3:5)

But in contrast to Jesus, we humans have all sinned.

"Yes, everyone has sinned and is far away from
God's saving presence"
(Roman 3:23)

"For sin pays its wage - death; but God's free gift
is eternal life in union with Jesus Christ our Lord."
(Roman 6:23)

His Death Had A Different Ending

After his cruel crucifixion on the cross, his lifeless
body was sealed in a tomb. But three days later his followers
found the tomb empty. They thought the
body had been stolen, but angels appeared and said to them:

"Why are you looking among the dead for one
who is alive? He is not here; he has been raised.
Remember what he said to you while he was in
Galilee: 'The Son of Man be handed over later rise to life.'"
(Luke 24:5b-7)

You Can Have Eternal Life
When Lazarus, a friend of Jesus , died, his sister Martha
was very upset, but Jesus comforted her with the words:

"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever
believes in me will live, even though he dies."
John 11:25
