Crucify Yourself
Galations 2:19-20 "For I thought the law died to the law that I might live to God.  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
What this passage is saying is that Paul (one of the apostles) let Christ take over his life everyday that he lived.  He would take up his cross next to Christ and carrying it letting Christ take over his life.

1 Corithians 1:18-25 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are pershing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.  For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.  Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Now this is saying to those who don't know what Christ did on the cross so that we might live they would have no understanding of the love he showed to us.  We need to show the love of Christ to the unsaved instead of preaching of Christ being crucified because they would not understand it.  If you crucify youself daily with Christ you would be sensitive to the Spirit and Christ would give you the words to say to those who are perishing.  You should take the extra time out of the day and have your quiet time with God in the morning or whenever you can have it.  From experience your day will be a whole lot better.  I start off the day when I wake up and say, "Good morning Holy Spirit, Father, and Jesus.  Jesus I crucify myself today so that you can live in me and I do you will not my own."  You can just do something like that but you need to submit yourself to God and let him take over.
I Corinthians 15:31, "I affrim, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily." Paul said this.  I have made a commitment to die daily to myself and let Christ live through me that I can be a light to this dark world.
Galations 5:24, "And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
There it says it in the Bible itself, that those who are in Christ crucify their flesh, so that Christ can work through them.
Philipians 2:5-11, " Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.  therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glorg of God the Father."
Let us be more like Christ so that we can live is this world.  When I get to Heaven I would like to hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant."  I will crucify myself so that Christ might live through me.
