How do I become a Christian

The Plan of Salvation - How to become saved by Grace.

First recognize that you have sinned and are deserving of death.

ROMANS 6:23 - All have sinned and deserve death, salvation is a gift. All have sinned, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Recognize that Jesus is the ONLY way

ACTS 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. John 14:6 Jesus said to him: I am the way; the truth; and the life. No man cometh unto the father but by me.

You are to be saved by Grace, not by your own works.
EPH 2:8-9 - For it is by grace that you are saved through faith, and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works least any man should boast.

It is simple, believe, confess and be not ashamed

ROMANS 10:9-11: "If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
Hell exists if you do not choose Christ.

MATTHEW 13:47-50 Jesus: "So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

There is no middle road

MATTHEW12:30 Jesus: "He that is not with me is against me."

Dear Lord Jesus I need you. I accept that you are the Son of God. I accept that there is no other true God beside the one Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. You are worthy of praise and honor and I am a poor sinner bound for hell.

I admit that I have sinned and cannot achieve eternal life by my own power. I believe that you lived a perfect life, was undeserving of death, and paid my debt for my sins by dying on the cross as I deserve to die. You came to earth with the intent to die for me because you love me that much. I am wicked and still you love me.

I know that you overcame death and rose from the dead. I accept you did all this to pay for my sins and my debt. I accept your gift of love and of eternal life, and I accept your gift of you own righteousness to replace my wicked life. I accept your forgiveness for all my past and future sin.

I now crucify the old me and am buried and resurrected with you and accept your new eternal life. I now invite you to enter my life. You died for me, so that you could give your life to me, so you could live your life through me.

By accepting your life and your glorious righteousness, I am now free from the law of sin and death. I trust you will present me forever faultless before the throne of God the Father, not because of any good thing I have ever done or will ever do, but because of what you have done for me.

I ask you now to begin your work to make me into the person you wish me to be. I surrender that this is your work to accomplish not mine, just as salvation was your work not mine. I promise to not get in your way by trying to become a good person under my own power. I promise instead to depend totally on you and to allow you to shape my life. I know I can do no good by my own power, and promise to let you do the good through me. I promise to depend on your grace and your power, not my own.
