Dear friends,
We've just confirmed that "The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005" -which allows parents to filter out questionable content in DVDs has moved one step closer to becoming law.
The House Judiciary on a voice vote gave the H.R. 357 to the House. Having already passed through the Senate, the bill just needs to pass through the House of Representatives without change to reach the President's desk.

Friends, as you may recall, it was only weeks ago we urged hundreds of thousands of citizens to call the House Judiciary Committee urging that they pass this bill that would make it possible for parents utilize technology that edits out raunchy movie scenes.
Without question, your calls made a significant impact on the Judiciary Committees decision--however, this is just a small victory on the way to the finish line.

You've seen what your calls have already done, now we need you to reach every member of the House urging them to co-sponsor and support "The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005" (H.R. 357).
With more than 263,132 having signed our petition, we believe we can impact every member of the House over the next several days--building support for this important piece of legislation that not only gives parents control, but also offers protection to those companies that manufacture the technology.

(They will connect you directly to your Representative's office).
When your reach your Representative's office, mention the bill specifically (H.R. 357), and urge that he/she stand with you by co-sponsoring it.
Also be sure to add that you are a member of Grassfire.org!
