Seek First the Kingdom of God

Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Is this you in your life �are you concerned about tomorrow and you are making plans for tomorrow�while God tell us that we ought to step out on faith
The question that asks to you is how does this sermon apply to you in your life
Let us look at three people that seek the Kingdom of God
2 of the people seek God first and one seek God not first
Adam was pot on the earth to dress and keep the Garden of God
We are here to dress and keep the spiritual garden of God
The bible tells us that we ought to pray for one another (James 5:16 confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.)

John 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
John 21:16 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
Joh 21:19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
Jesus Christ is telling Peter that when you was not mine you did as you wanted to do�now that you are mine, you follow me �and if you are mine than prove your faith by works in being obedient to Jesus Christ�You follow
Before as a unsaved person you went your own way�now you follow after Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was telling him that he had to exercise his love to Christ Jesus, by feeding his sheep by doing his work�by being obedient to God
By being a workman not ashamed but rightly dividing the word of Truth

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

As Adam was put in the garden to dress and keep the garden, we are put here to dress and keep God�s Word
(2Kings 4:8- 11) This is what the woman was doing �she was doing her part and feeding the sheep of God
When Elisha himself was seeking first the kingdom of God
Because he was faithful you God�s calling in his life he was able to be used as a positive vessel for God
Because She was faithful in feeding God�s sheep �she was able to used for a positive vessel for her and her husband
Elisha-- because he was faithful to his calling � he was able to be used as a vessel and bring the son that had died back to life
Because God knows what we need before we even ask�He just ask us to first seek the kingdom of GOD and he will take care of us
God knew that there was going to be a famine in the land
There was going to be a famine and she was warned to take cover
God gave her an unconditional response to leaving the land (� sojourn whosesoever thou canst sojourn...) (She went to the land of the philistines for 7 yrs)
When she came back after 7 yrs God lets us know who is in charge�he had prepared a place for reentry
As the seven years had ended �God had enabled the servant of Elisha to speak to the King of the land
The servant himself had been humbled in the sight of the LORD

He was a man that was not always seeking 1st the kingdom of God
Because of his lack of focus, it was evident on his appearance
He had put money above his duty to Christ
Because of his lack of focus he was rewarded justly (2king 5:20-27)
There are different types of leprosy as indicated in Leviticus 13
The type of leprosy he had enabled him to be in the presence of people (Gehazi)
He shows signs of walking the straight and narrow path at this point
God�s grace is sufficient as it is shown in the life of Gehazi�for God still used him
Gehazi may have sinned and walked from the presence of Elisha but he did not walk from the presence of God�his duty was to proclaim truth
When woman came back to the city she came before the King of the land and cried for a house
This needs to be noted that she did not need to beg or cry
God had prepared her return back to prosperity�why????????????
Because God knew her need before she asked
