Joy cometh in the morning- Counting the cost- keeping the faith because Joy cometh in the morning...

Sometimes we look at the trials that we have in our lives and we become discouraged. It seems that there may be no relief in sight, yet we have to remember that Joy comes in the Morning. We have to keep the faith. We have to remember Gods promises that he gives us and we ought to claim them. God never puts more on us that we cannot bear through faith in him (Luke 1:37). Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
  • Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
  • Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
  • Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Other bible verses like 1Peter 5:6 and 7 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

  • When we cast all of our cares upon him we walk in humility. We are acknowledging to God that we trust in HIM to do it for us.

Joy cometh in the morning
1Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Read Job 2:11-13 - This illustrates the type of pain that Job was in - his friends wept for his situation.

  • God knew what Job was able to handle, though he went through a lot.
  • Though Joy comes in the morning, Jobs friends comforted him in his time of need. They tarried for Job seven days and seven nights. They went the extra mile for a Christian brother. They themselves may have had other responsibilities though they showed selflessness in their characters.

Read Job 2: 1-12. Verse 1 - Satan - He is the accuser, adversary, resists Gods will.

The devil is smart he is no fool he knows that there is a God, because God has his footprint on his butt. He gives God his due respect though the devil will tempt you to do otherwise.
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

My question to the person that is listening at this moment is, why wait till it is too late for you to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.

Yes he is the Savior for the World but not your savior if you have never accepted the Free gift of life that he has given to you through his blood.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

He is Lord and Savior for those that call upon him.

Do you wonder what he is saving you from?

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Matthew 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

  • Why wait till you have died and are at the judgment seat.
  • The Devil the ultimate resister of God knows that his time is short and his end is the lake of fire and yet he bows before God.
  • You can escape Hell a fire that is not quenched, by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world.

Either you are going to pay for your own sins in hell in a fire that is never quenched. Mark 9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Or you are you are going to accept that free gift that Jesus Christ gives you (Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.)

Read Job 2: 3 and 4 Jobs integrity was being tested in Chapter one

  • Though God had a protected spirit around Job (Job 1:10)
  • It was lifted to prove Jobs integrity to God. God knows what we are able to handle and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can handle
  • The devil was doing his part with Job as he does with Christians on a daily basis; he went before God and accused him, as he accuses us
  • Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
  • The good thing is that we are saved by the blood of the lamb
  • Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

1Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

In verse 10 of chapter 2, Job acknowledges that he had it good in his life, though to be faithful to God it is tested more so when things are not going so well.
Read verse 10.

Jam 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Jam 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

We are not above the master, therefore we are going to have trials in ours lives. God is showing us his loving hand on how we ought to deal with these trials in our life. We ought to exercise patience and faithfulness.

Matt 5: 10-12tells us of the rewards that we are to receive in the morningfor joy comes in the morning.

Verse6 - The devil has limitations the bible tell us to resist the devil and he will flee from you - this is a conditional statement.

James 4:7 submit you therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We may submit ourselves to God in many forms:

  • One way is by asking for help and change of heart asking for strength to resist the devil
  • The bible will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from reading Gods word
  • Read verse 9 those looking on will tempt you to weaken your stand for God sometimes it is those that are closest to you that challenge our faith in Christ.
  • Sometimes we have to make choices, because we love them so much that it may affect our spiritual prospective.
  • Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
We must always remember in situations like this that we are in spiritual battle and they can be used as an instrument to make you fall:

  • Job submitted himself to God in verse 10 by giving God the glory and therefore resisting the devil that was influencing his loved one, who was in the form of his wife.
  • Job's wife was saying make your situation easier - curse God and die.
  • This reminds me of Christ in the wilderness, when he was being tempted of the devil (matt 4) he was being tempted to make his plight easier by turning stone to bread to ease his hunger.
  • In all of Jobs displeasure that he was having being in great painJob kept the faith.

We as Christians are not above the master, for he has suffered and we will have our trial and tribulations - Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalm 30:11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Psalm 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
