'93 Metro
When I bought this car it had a broken subframe, but the little 3 cylinder ran great. Most people think i'm crazy for driving such a small car in a demolition figure 8. I think It'll do good on some of the smaller tracks.
After about 60 hours of work the Metro was a tank. It's amazing what I can do with a welder and a little time. Every seam on the body was welded, the bumpers were replaced with stronger one's. the roll cage was custom bent alumanized pipe, doubled up in the critical spots. The door plate was a 1/4 in. steel plate 18" wide and 52" long.
After 4 heats, 2 DNF's, 1 third place an 1 second place, the metro still runs.
It's quite the crowd pleaser. They just go nuts when it pulls out onto the track.  I've come to the conclusion that any car can be a great car if it's well built and runs well(and this car was built). So far this is my favorite car to race with.
