How to install A custom mood theme.

In order to install any mood theme, you need to be a paid or plus LiveJournal member. You will also need you own image hosting site or an account at some place like Photobucket.com.

Instructions:

1. Download the zip file containing all the mood theme icons of whichever moodset you want to snag.

2. Upload all the pics to your online image site. DO NOT change the names of any of the files.

3. Be sure you are logged in to your paid/plus account.

4. Go to the LiveJournal Admin Console.

5. Find the adminconsolecoles.txt file hidden amongst your shiny mood icons.

6. Copy and paste the ENTIRE first line into the text box:

7. Click the "execute" button.

8. If you entered the phrase correctly, it should say "Success. Your new moodthemeid= ######." Write whatever number it gives you down and save it because you will need it later. Keep the Console window open.

9. Go back to the adminconsolecodes.txt file.

10. In EVERY line where it says "######" replace the "######" in EVERY SINGLE LINE with the number you were given for the moodthemeid number.

In EVERY line where it says "http://your image URL/" replace the "http://your image URL/" with the correct web address of your images. (HINT: There's a handy command under the Edit drop-down menu in Microsoft Word, Wordpad, and recent versions of Notepad called Replace. You can use that to make those changes.)

11. Copy and paste the contents of that ENTIRE modified text file into the text box on the LiveJournal Admin Console window. Be sure to copy and paste all of it correctly. (NOTE: If you used Notepad, you'll have to disable Word Wrap)

12. Click "execute".

13. If you changed everything correctly, you'll get a page that says "data inserted" 132 times.

14. If everything was not changed properly, you will get "Failed! You do not own this theme!", or something similar, which means you didn't change the ######'s to the number you were given EXACTLY, or you missed some. Double check, and try again.

15. Once you get "data inserted" for everything, you can close the LiveJournal Admin Console window, and then go to Modify Journal. You should be able to find and select the mood theme you just created in the drop-down menu for mood icon sets at the bottom of the drop-down list, under "Personal Themes".
