In the summer of 2000, we wanted to go on a short holiday, not to far away, an cheap (we already went to Brasil earlier)
That is why we chose for Pague, not so far (700 km) and cheap.

The first day we went to the center and looked at some beautiful buildings (which they have a lot!)

Karluv Most Bridge

This is a picture of a Jewish Cemetery.
They were not alowed to make a new cemetery so they had to put one grave on top of the other.
There is also a chapel were al the names of Jews who did not return from the extremination camps in WO II.
It made a big impression on me.

Every morning we got breakfast at our hotel room.

Doesn't it look romantic?

These pictures are taken near Prague Castle.
On the left you can see the changing of the guards,

on the right, another nice church.

In Prague you can also find a lot of medieval weapons and clothes.

This store looked a lot like a museum

In Pargue you can find a lot of little streets and passages, with the most beautiful decoration.
I think it looks a lot like af fairy-tale.

The left picture was taken on top of a tower of a church.

The left picture is a very famous clock on the market square in the town centre.

You can rent a canal-bike so you can admire the city from the water.
On the right a view of Karluv Most from the water.

Below a view of the palace.

Behind this building is a Water-organ, Krizik. If you are in the neighbourhood you schould visit this.

The best is to come when it is dark so you can see the different colours of light.

The day before we had to go back home we wanted to see a glass-factory, where the famous bohemian crystal is made.
So we went to Nizbor, near Prague. Here you can see some glass-blowers.

And some hot glass.

Everyone who makes the tour gets a little bottle with some glass-sand in it,
and we also bought crystal ball for in the X-mas tree.

After that we went to see some castles, the first we visited was Krivoklad.
Nice castle with mostly Czech-tourists. And if you pay the guide you are alowed to take pictures inside.

From left to right Marcel, the Library and the Chapel

They also had a collection of sledges, the right one was made in Amsterdam.

The last Castle we went to is the most famous in the Czech Replublic: Carlstejn.
It holds the crown-juwels and the holy grale, unfortunatly you are not alowed to enter those rooms.
The castle has a high security, and you are not alowed to take pictures. But I think it is the most beautiful Castle I have ever seen.

That was the end of our Holiday, we had a great week.
