Sadly, some characters fall short of this phenomenon, as the persona in Red Dress – 1946. At the conclusion I feel she is falling into nothingness, unlike the maid in Sunday Afternoon, who undergoes a similar turning point.

 Comparatively, the maid’s change exults rather than pushing her into oblivion. This is what I found so appealing; the battle of each individual to shine and how relevant this is to everyday life. For that is what our survival and existence is all about.
