Jessie took out a weird looking pendant that was hanging from her neck. It was a long purple crystal but all of a sudden it glowed green. �What�s that?� Ash was curious. �I�ve had just about enough of this!� She aimed it towards the sky with a hopeful look in her eyes. She looked as if she was waiting for something. The daytime turned into nighttime within two minutes. A huge spaceship slowly descended to the ground in front of them. The door opened and Jessie grabbed Ash. �Hey, what are you doing? Let me go!� The boy was scared stiff as she carried him into the ship. �My pokeballs and pikachu are still out there!� Jessie shut the door quickly and locked it. She went to a huge control panel and sat in the front seat. The ship lifted up and sped off into space. Ash looked down through the window to see the pokeworld below him. �I was right! They�re not comets at all!� He looked at her and she pointed to another window. Ash saw space ships blasting the entire pokeworld to bits. �What�s going on?� He started to cry as he saw a huge blast headed straight for his home, which he loved so much. It was blasted to nothing in less than a second. It was almost vaporized. Jessie picked up a weird looking communicator. �This is ship one to pod one, do you read me? Over.� There was no answer so she tried again. �This is ship one to pod one, do you read me? Over.� A faint signal came through. �This is pod one to ship one, over.� It was James�s voice. �I thought he was dead!� Ash was confused now. Jessie pressed a button and a space pod parked itself in the ship. James came out and ran over to Jessie. �I just had enough time to rejuvenate!� She hugged him tightly and he showed her a pended exactly the same as she had around her neck.
Ash hated being kept in the dark. �I want to know what�s going on now!� Jessie and James were sitting side by side at the controls. �The pokeworld was being attacked, that�s what was going on twerp!� He went up to Jessie and faced her angrily. �Who are you really?� They looked at each other at the same time. �The same Jessie and James you�ve always known.� Ash could tell they were avoiding something. �Alright! We really are I guess what you would call aliens! That just happens to be our people that attacked your world. We were exiled as babies so we had nothing to do with it, honest! They sent us there to see how we�d adapt.� Just then, an image came onto the video screen. �We have planned to rule this universe for some time now! You will not interfere!� It looked human but it was purple with blue scales on its face. �Why did you attack the pokeworld?� Jessie looked angry but curious at the same time. �Your leader, Giovanni threatened to send his forces after us. He wanted this universe for himself. That was not a big problem until all the leaders of your planet were getting their military forces against us. We will not let anyone stand in our way!� The figure on the screen was serious and Jessie knew it. �May we go somewhere else as long as we stay out of your way?� The figure nodded. �Yes you may. But if we have the need to attack the next place you go to, you will need to move on.� Jessie and James both nodded and the screen went blank. Ash stared in disbelief. �You�re not even going to fight back?� Jessie got up and brought him to another room while James piloted the ship. �Listen to me, twerp! As you can see, we can�t take them on ourselves and win. We�d need a more powerful army than they have and it will take time to acquire. I�ll try though. But we can�t mention anything to them until we�re sure we have enough forces to defeat them. It could take years before we get an army together. There are some things you can�t just jump into like you always do. They have to be planned out for years. You�re so impulsive! I�m sorry it had to be this way but it was the only way!� She tried to comfort him but he backed away from her. �I have nothing left! How can I go on?� Ash started to cry a river and Jessie held him against her. He tried to get away but she sat on a bed with him. �Calm down! Just trust me, ok?� She got up and went back to the controls. Jessie sat down and pulled a lever. The ship went into hyper-warp speed. They flew for what seemed hours until they stopped in the middle of nowhere. �I�ve pin pointed a wealthy planet in a 4th dimension over. Shall we proceed?� James awaited Jessie�s command. �Yes, it sounds good.� He pressed a few buttons and the ship glowed white. They were pulled into another dimension.
They saw a planet than looked much like the pokeworld but with no pokemon. There was much more pollution but it had to do. Jessie landed the ship in a well-hidden area. James and Ash climbed out. They held up their crystals and the ship flew away back into space. They looked around to notice they weren�t animated anymore and there were humans just like them everywhere. �Hey look!� Ash ran up to a shop and saw pokemon cards on display in the window. Jessie and James chased after him. �Get back here twerp!� But he went in the store, regardless of their warning. A man came up to him and said, �The pokemon fad is sweeping the nation! It�s the hottest thing around!� Jessie grabbed him and pulled him out of the store. She took him into an alley. �Hey, why�d you do that?� Ash was angry with her. �I have to explain a few things. First being, there are no real pokemon here! It�s a fad that everyone�s into. Trading cards, video games, and toys. Don�t make yourself look dumb! Try to fit in and don�t talk about the pokeworld whatsoever!� Ash was actually understanding Jessie. �Thanks for telling me but I still don�t see what the point of being here is? Aren�t your people just going to destroy this planet too?� She shook her head. �It�s the last on their list and time is different in space when you travel at warp speeds. �It may be millions of years before we�re even bothered by them again! This planet would have time to be long gone and so would this solar system before they ever come back!� Ash calmed down a bit but couldn�t stop thinking about his friends and pikachu. �I�ll never see them again.� Jessie felt sorry for him now that they were in this situation. They started walking and noticed a television on display in a store. It was playing a TV show about pokemon. Ash saw himself on TV and so did Jessie and James. They tried not to act suspicious and blend in but as soon as someone saw their clothes, they all wanted to know where they bought it. They went to a department store and bought new clothes first thing. Jessie was dressed in a black leather mini-mini skirt, a short pink top that showed all her belly, and knee-high black leather boots. She looked like a big slut more than anything else. James dressed in black jeans with chains all over them and a t-shirt. He still had the blue hair and Jessie her deep crimson red hair. Ash went completely gothic in black jeans full of chains, a black t-shirt, a black leather jacket also full of chains, and many body piercings. When Jessie and James saw him, they were shocked. �Since when did you have a dark side to you?� He shrugged. �Guess I just feel like being myself.� Jessie had two belly button rings, plenty of earrings, a tongue ring, a nose stud, and rings in places unmentionable. James wasn�t at all surprised at their style. �I always noticed some of the same characteristics in both of you guys.� Jessie didn�t take that comment lightly and smacked him over the head with her hand since the mallet didn�t just come out of nowhere like it did in the pokeworld. �Keep your comments to yourself!�
�First things first! We need a place to live and actual jobs to afford it.� Jessie and James looked all day to find jobs. She ended up finding a job in a telemarketing center and he found one in construction. Jessie and James both enrolled in college so they ended up living in the dorms. Ash wondered where she got the money for that. �Well they were nice and let us have a little cash.� He looked puzzled. �The aliens?� She nodded and showed him her bank account balance on the computer. Ash was stunned at the billions of dollars she had but didn�t say anything. �Oh and by the way, I enrolled you in high school!� He looked at Jessie with a sour look on his face. �What? Who says I�m staying with you guys?� She pointed to a bedroom. �I say! Now get to bed! It�s late enough.� He tried to fight back but she showed him papers that stated she had legal custody of him. �No way!� Ash was very mad now but he listened and went to bed.
Ash awoke the next morning to find himself in a rush for school. Jessie was already ready. �Why didn�t you wake me up?� He was mad since her and James were both up and ready. �You should have set the alarm clock.� She was eating a muffin and James was eating an entire box of donuts. Jessie finished up and headed outside to the new car she bought. �I�ll give you a ride, come on!� Ash got in the car with her and she drove off quickly. �So what are you guys taking in college?� She didn�t answer him but then he asked again. �I�m taking psychology and so is James. We�re going to university in two years though so we can specialize in it.� Ash noticed how crabby Jessie was towards him. �What�s wrong? Are you mad at me or something?� She stopped the car in front of the school and said, �Get out! Now you know where it is so you can walk home and you�ll be walking everyday from now on!� He quickly got out of the car and she drove off. Ash got sent to the principal�s office twice that day. He shot spitballs the first time and it hit the teacher, the second time for fighting. When he came home, Jessie was doing homework. �Trouble maker now aren�t you?� She wasn�t too pleased with him. �I�m having a hard time, ok!� She got up to go to the fridge. Jessie was impressed at his schoolwork though. �I always thought you were stupid! This looks like a genius done it!� Ash wasn�t sure weather to take that as a compliment or an insult. She winked at him. �Keep it up! I just want to know why you never used your head before if you were so smart?� He sat down with her at the table. �I guess I tried to hide it. People used to bug me too much to do things for them when I was a child so I pretended I got amnesia and became just an average person.� She roughed up his hair a little and said, �Just be your-self!� Jessie handed him a snack and went to get a beer. After half an hour it turned out to be fifteen beers and she was drunk. �I didn�t know you have a drinking problem?� Ash was surprised to see her like that. She was getting extremely violent and James tried to calm her down. He took a few punches but finally got her to settle down. She fell asleep in his arms and didn�t wake up until the next day.
She hurried up to get to class with James. �You know you shouldn�t have done that. You�re a recovering alcoholic!� He was worried about her now. She hugged him and apologized. �You�re the only one who kept me going after what happened. If it wasn�t for you I would have died from alcohol poisoning by now!� He was happy to have her show her gratitude towards him. �I love you Jess.� She kissed him on the lips. �Me too James.� Ash was disgusted when he walked in on them kissing. �Can�t you guys do that in the bedroom?� They stuck out their tongues at him and continued kissing for another ten minutes. Ash had time to get ready and leave before they came up for air. He cried every night wishing Misty, Brock and pikachu were there with him. One night Jessie saw him crying and pulled out a bag with hair in it. She left and drove to a huge building. Jessie went inside and it was a huge laboratory. �You might just get your wish.� She was up all night and by the time she came home, she was a mess.
�Ash, wake up!� He opened his eyes to see Misty and Brock standing over his bed. Pikachu was on the foot of his bed. �This has to be a dream! It can�t be real.� Jessie walked in with James and said, �Oh, it�s very real.� �But how?� She smiled at him and sat on the bed beside him. �Well I have access to a laboratory at the other end of the city. I found a hair sample from each of them just by luck on our old jacket so I decided to try something. I was able to bring them back by cloning them and then putting their memories back into them was a snap with the technology of computers!� He looked at her angrily. �You mean they�re just clones with artificial intelligence?� Ash started to cry but Jessie lifted his chin up. �No! Let me explain. This technology allows us to resurrect anyone with just a sample of DNA.� He started to cheer up. �Really?� She nodded and Misty hugged him. Pikachu was about to zap him to get up but Brock stopped the pokemon. �Pika?� It didn�t understand. �It will kill Ash in this world.� Pikachu got the idea and Ash got up on his own. �You�ll have to keep pikachu hidden here and if you want to bring him somewhere, he has to stay still and act like a toy. Who knows what people of science would do if they found him!� Jessie picked up the pokemon and petted him. Ash took pikachu back from her. �Meowth! Where�s my breakfast?� Meowth was at the table demanding food when they came out of the room. �You had a hair sample of Meowth too?� Jessie picked up the pokemon by the scruff of the neck. �Yeah and I kind of feel like I shouldn�t have brought him back!� She put him back down in the chair and grabbed some cereal. Everyone was quiet as they ate. Jessie explained to Misty, Brock, Meowth, and Pikachu what had happened but that was it.
�Are we going to have to stay here forever?� Misty didn�t like the idea of being in this world but Jessie confirmed they had to live there now. Ash didn�t talk much now. For the next eight months he was so quiet that even Jessie was worried.
One Year Later
Misty and Brock had gotten their own apartment now and James had already left for school. Jessie was getting ready for class as usual but she decided to go in Ash�s room to talk to him. Ash was very depressed for a long time. �Why so down?� She sat on the bed and tried to get him up but he pulled the covers over his head. �Leave me alone!� He was crying and she yanked the covers off him. �I�ve tried my hardest with you! You�re the youngest out of you, Misty, and Brock so I pay a lot of attention to you and all you do is ignore me and tell me off! Why? I got Misty, Brock, and pikachu back for you! I let you and them have a place to stay plus I helped you get your lives on track! Why are you being like this with me?� Ash looked at her with tears in his eyes. �I can�t stand you! I never could! I know you hate me so why are you helping me?� Jessie had this problem with him all the time. He didn�t trust her at all and he hated her even after all she did for him. �I�ve always wondered why I even bother with you!� With that, she left the room and slammed the door. Ash felt uncomfortable around Jessie. There was something she did when she was around him that he didn�t like. It was like she gave off evil vibes towards him. �Jessie, wait!� She just ignored him and headed to class.
�I try so hard but the boy is hopeless! I wanted to give up on him a long time ago!� Jessie was discussing the situation with James before class started. �I really think you�re way too hard on him! You never spend time with him at all. Yes, you give him a place to live and brought his friends back but that�s not enough. You�re the one who took on the responsibility of raising him. It�s not like he�s a roommate that just needs a place to stay but that�s the way you treat him. To make things worse, you study him all the time to get higher marks in your psychology classes. He�s not a lab rat!� James tried many times to explain that to Jessie but she never listened. �How many times to I have to tell you I have my own ways of dealing with the brat! I don�t want to spend time with him. It�s me he hates! When he�s around anyone else, he�s happy. If I raise my hand too high, he ducks thinking I�m going to hit him!� James didn�t know what to say anymore. �I just wish you�d give it a try. Even if it doesn�t work out, at least you tried. I think he acts the way he does with you because you tell him all the psycho things you�d like to do to him. Who wouldn�t be scared if someone told them that? I know you�re just messing around with him but it scares him.� She thought about it for a minute. �I�m in charge of the twerp and I�ll do as I see fit!� The teacher walked in so they quieted down.
After school, Jessie went home right away. Even though it was Friday night, she was too tired to party. James and Meowth were gone partying but she stayed home. Misty and Brock went out of town for the weekend with some new friends they made so Jessie was stuck with Ash for the entire weekend. Knowing James and Meowth, they�d be gone all weekend as usual. When they party, they sure party. She sat down to watch TV and eat supper as soon as she got home. �Jessie, why are you home so early on a Friday night?� Ash came out of his room and sat next to her on the couch. �I�m tired.� She didn�t feel like talking to him at all. �Why are you always so cruel to me?� He felt neglected by her. �I let you live here! I never said I was going to be your mother!� Ash had so much pain in his eyes and Jessie could see it. She decided to do something she never dared to before. �How about we go get ice cream and talk about it. My treat.� He looked at her strangely. �Yeah sure. You�d probably poison it!� Jessie was about to lose her temper but she stayed calm. �Please trust me for once. I want to help you, I really do! But I can�t help you when you�re not willing to open up to me.� From out of nowhere, Ash lunged at her and bit her hard, so hard that it drew blood. �Hey! Those are sharp!� Jessie noticed his teeth were sharper than any normal person�s. He quickly got up and ran away. �Get back here twerp!� But he was out the door before she could catch him. �His teeth were never that sharp before! They just all of a sudden turned like that.� Jessie thought about this for a long time but couldn�t figure it out. The only thing she knew was that must be why he�s been acting so strangely towards her.
Ash ran until his legs couldn�t carry him anymore. He found himself lost in the huge city. It was dark out now and there were no streetlights but he could see as if it was daytime. Ash ran into an alley and curled up in a corner next to a garbage disposal bin. Tears rolled down his face and fell to the ground below him. He had no idea what was happening to him. First his night vision increased then his teeth became sharper. If that wasn�t bad enough, he felt a throbbing pain in his hands. Long claws shot out his fingers and two of his top teeth turned into long fangs. A garbage can was in front of him and he could see his reflection in it. His hair was blue and his eyes looked like a cat�s eyes. Ash almost fainted when he saw himself. �I can�t go back home now.� That�s the first thing that came to his mind when he saw himself. The night passed and he cried himself to sleep.
The next morning, Ash awoke and looked at his reflection once more. The claws, fangs, sharp teeth, and blue hair were gone. He looked normal again. For the next three days and nights, he stayed alone outside where no one could find him or see him. After a week, Ash noticed he transformed at nighttime only. During the day, he looked normal. He walked around the city that afternoon, hoping to find answers to his questions but they never came. That night, he slept in a large field outside of the city. Jessie was going for a walk on that same night and she happened to pass by the same field Ash was in. She noticed something in the field so she went to check it out. �So this is where you�ve been!� Jessie tried to grab him but he dashed off with incredible speed. When she finally caught up to him, Ash tried to bite her again. This time she noticed the fangs. Jessie looked at his face and hands. She noticed his eyes, hair, claws, and teeth. �Let go of me now!� He screamed for help but Jessie put a hand over his mouth. �It�s ok! I�m not going to hurt you!� Ash calmed down and sat down in the field with her. �So how long has this been going on?� He hung his head down and said, �About six months. It was never this bad before though. For a week now, it�s been like this. What�s happening to me?� He started to cry again but Jessie tried to comfort him. �Why didn�t you tell me?� Ash pulled away from her. �You would�ve used me in some type of experiment! I know how you are, Jessie! You�d take me to that lab you used to bring back my friends so you could cut me open and probe around inside me!� She was a little stunned by his reaction. �What are you talking about?� Ash backed away from her. �You�re an alien! I�m not stupid! I know what alien abduction is and I also know you�d love to experiment on me even if I wasn�t this way! Even humans would use me as a lab rat now if they saw me!� Jessie started to laugh. �What�s so funny?� He wasn�t sure weather to run away or attack her. �I�m sorry but you have me all wrong! Yes, you are right about alien abduction but the truth is, we�re actually just a more evolved species of humans! We were the ones who planted humans on other planets from our DNA. Most of them look almost like us but some morphed into odd-looking creatures to adapt to the environment. We�re actually the first beings ever in all the universes. There are many universes in different dimensions but we�re the ones who started all of it! All we are is the farthest evolutionary stage of humans ever! We call our species Jijizit. We also have extraordinary powers but James and I never use them unless we�re in a tight situation. We still didn�t use them when the pokeworld was destroyed. Those crystals were to call on our ships and that�s it.� Ash backed away again as she tried to come closer. �Don�t touch me! I�ve seen the way you looked at me for a long time now and I know you want to experiment on me!� Jessie rolled her eyes at him. �Oh please! I thought you wanted to find out what was happening to you?� He hissed at her like a demon. �Not by being experimented on!� She sat there calmly, trying not to excite him. �Well, there really is no other way to find out. If I knew what was happening, I would have told you by now. I wish that you wouldn�t be so afraid of me. The rest of our kind do in fact abduct humans and experiment on them. They�re actually very rough and they tend to hurt them a lot during the experiments. The humans die from it too.� Ash started to run away again but Jessie appeared in front of him. �But how?� He didn�t understand how she could do that. �I told you we have extraordinary powers!� She grabbed his arm and in an instant, they appeared in the lab. �We have had connections with the Jijizit our whole lives in the pokeworld and we do work for them doing experiments.� Ash was panicking like crazy but all the doors were locked. He went wild and started to hyperventilate. Jessie grabbed him and held him down on an examination table. She strapped him down tightly. �What are you going to do to me?� Ash was terrified. Jessie grabbed a pillow and put it under his head. �I�m not like the rest of our kind. I�m really quite gentle and I would never hurt or kill any of the humans I experiment on. If you haven�t noticed, I put a blanket under you so you won�t feel the cold metal table.� He was struggling like mad as she touched his face. Jessie waved a light in front of his eyes. The light seemed to hypnotize him easily. She put it away and started to examine his hair under a microscope. It looked normal so she started to examine his teeth and fangs. They were almost like a wild dog�s teeth but the fangs were longer. His claws were the same as a bear�s and his eyes were the same as a tiger�s. Jessie had never seen anything like this before so she decided to examine him even more. �What are you doing with that?� Ash whimpered like a scared little puppy as she came closer to him with a probe in her hand. �From what I see so far, you�re part wolf, part bear, and part tiger. Your hair and fangs have me puzzled but I have a theory I want to confirm. If I�m correct, you would be what humans call a demon. Since you only transform at night and you have amazing speed, that almost confirms it but I need to investigate a little deeper.� With that, she stuck the probe up his butt. �I know you�re not evil though so don�t worry about that. You�re actually the first demon with light powers I�ve ever seen!� Ash whimpered more as she did this. �Stop! I can�t stand it!� Jessie ignored him and kept probing. �It seems that you�re a regular human on the inside.� He tried to bite her but missed. �I�ll un-strap you from the table if you promise not to bolt off.� Ash nodded reluctantly so she un-strapped him. After another ten minutes, she took the probe out of him but he was still in a lot of pain. �That hurt! I thought you said you�re gentle?� Jessie petted him gently on the head. �You are indeed a demon but of good nature.� Ash looked at her angrily and yelled, �You hurt me a lot!� She continued to pet him. �You were extremely tense and much more than anyone else I�ve probed. If you�re tense, it will hurt and I know how you feel about me so I don�t blame you.� He quickly ran to the door. �Just let me out of here!� Jessie slowly walked over to him. �Please trust me. I know exactly what�s happening to you and I know how it feels.� Ash started crying again. �No you don�t!� She smiled evilly. �Oh yes I do!� Right before his eyes, Jessie transformed into a demon herself. She had sharp teeth, long fangs, claws, eyes the same as his, and her hair turned black. Ash jumped back. �Whoa!� Jessie hissed at him. �I�m a demon of evil nature. I have powers of darkness.� He was afraid but slowly calmed down. �You can learn to control the transformation over time.� She grabbed him and they instantly appeared back home. �I�m sorry Jessie. I just get this feeling around you. I feel so uncomfortable around you.� Ash sat down on the couch with her. The sun started to come up and he transformed back to normal. Jessie had already transformed back to normal before they went home. �I can even transform during the day now. Being a demon is extra besides the powers all the Jijizit have.� She put her arm around him. Ash shivered as Jessie touched him. There was something about her that he didn�t quite trust.
After spending the whole day with Ash, Jessie noticed how he shivered every time she touched him. He looked at her with eyes that were almost asking, �What are you doing to me?� Jessie just remained quiet about it until Ash had a bit of an outburst. �Stop!� He jumped back and shoved her onto the floor. �Whoa! What�s wrong with you?� She was stunned at his reaction. �Jessie! You�re doing something to me when you touch me!� Tears rolled down Ash�s face as he cowered in the shadow of his worst enemy. Jessie reached her hand out to help him up but he whacked it aside. �Get your hands off me!� A tear welled up in the corner of her eye but she wiped it away before the boy could see it. �I thought you were trusting me now?� She couldn�t understand what was wrong. �It�s like this weird feeling goes all through my nerves each time you touch me, come close to me, or even look at me! I want to know what you�re doing to me now!� Jessie grabbed Ash in her arms and held him tightly. He squirmed to get out of her grasp but had no luck. �It�s ok! You can trust me. That feeling you have is completely normal! Just let your self go and take my word for it! I won�t hurt you!� He started to calm down at this but the feeling was too much for him. �What is it?� He asked again while looking into her eyes. �Well, I know this may sound weird but it�s an effect I�ve always had on you. You never noticed it because I made sure not to touch you. Remember how you bared your teeth at me every time I used to pick on you back in the pokeworld? Well don�t you realize a similarity to the feeling you felt then and the feeling you have now?� Ash thought about it for a minute. �Yeah, it�s the same but much stronger.� Jessie let him go and nodded. �Unhuh. That�s a natural reaction you�ve always had and always will have with me. There�s not really an explanation for it.� He started to whimper but she ignored it this time. �I�m going to make supper. Is there anything specific you�d like?� Ash followed her into the kitchen, forgetting how he felt.
�You�re the best cook ever!� Ash was enjoying his supper that Jessie made for him. He even washed the dishes for her afterwards. �So are you feeling better than before now that we discussed things?� He hugged her. �You bet! You�re awesome Jessie.� She looked down and noticed the spark in his eyes that she never saw for ages. �Thanks for giving me a chance with you.� Jessie spent the rest of the evening with him watching a movie and eating popcorn. Ash was falling asleep on the couch so she carried him to his bed. �Thanks Jess.� That was all he said before he closed his eyes and drifted off into a pleasant dream of him and Jessie together like that forever. As she left, Jessie saw a smile on Ash�s face while he fell asleep.
