| Name: Jessie Age: 17 Hair Color: Reddish-magenta Eye Color: Blue Height: 5" 7' Favorite Food: Snow rolls with soy sauce Likes: Make-up, shopping, money, food, James (sometimes), Meowth (sometimes), Taunting/winning against/mocking/getting revenge on Ash Dislikes: The Twerps, work Fears: Rollercoasters Pokemon She Has Owned: Ekans (but it evolved), Arbok, Lickitung (accidently traded it for Wobbuffet), Shellder (only for like a few minutes), Wobbuffet, Seviper (after Arbok left to help some other Ekans in trouble), Wurmple Being the most dominant member of the team, Jessie is often a woman of anger. She tends to lose her temper most of the time, usually when things don't go her way or she is being insulted, and when that happens...you better watch out. In the early episodes of Pokemon, Jessie will usually hit James and Meowth with various objects when she gets angry, such as a paper fan. But now, she just yells. Jessie is a very beautiful person...but she sure does love to flaunt it. She often thinks of herself as the most gorgeous woman in the universe and she'll strike out at anyone who thinks otherwise. This also leads to Jessie thinking that she's the best; she's extremely vain and self-centered. For example, in one episode of the Johto Journeys, Jessie's convinced that she's the queen, "a queen whose subjects must all kneel down before me". In the episode, "Bad to the Bone", Jessie was being more egotistical than ever. She, James, and Meowth had stolen badges from a boy called, Otoshi. Later on, she tells James that she's going out shopping and she went off carrying something wrapped in a handkerchief. But what James and Meowth didn't realize was that Jessie had gone solo. She had taken the badges for herself so that for once, she could be in the spotlight, with everybody cheering for her. But James and Meowth had found her later on and ruined her moment..."You have disgraced the disgraceful Team Rocket!" Just like the rest of the team, Jessie's obsessed with success. Through all her and the team's trying, through all the plans, through all the schemes, never once has there been a success. Especially when trying to capture Pikachu....she and the team have come close at times, but they have never captured it. But like the saying goes, "Good guys always win." And since Team Rocket are the villains, there goes their chances of winning. Jessie is always wishing to become rich and famous someday. But that's what dreams are for, right? There is one thing I can give Jessie credit for though: she always remains optimistic, constantly hoping her big break will come through one day. The same goes for the rest of the team. Jessie's dreams of fame and her desire for success can be traced back all the way to her childhood. As a child, Jessie lived in poverty. She never had any nice toys or money. It seems as though she didn't even have good food; Jessie's mother, Miyamoto, would make her food out of snow. She calls it a, "snowgasboard". To Jessie, this was one of the happiest and "delicious" memories of her life. It makes sense that Jessie would want success so much since she never had it in her life. It's kind of ironic that Jessie didn't have much as a child because now she's a very materialistic person. She puts great effort in having the best outfits and disguises, trying to be stylish. In the episode, "No Big Woop", Jessie had found a mushroom to eat and she didn't want to share it with James and Meowth. Unfortunately, the mushroom was poisonous. Many people had childhood beliefs. And Jessie was no exception. When Jessie was about 7 years old, she believed in Santa Claus. One night she stayed up and waited for Santa underneath her blankets. She angrily said to herself, "It's getting late Santa Claus, you better bring me presents or else!" and then broke her favorite doll by hitting it. But to Jessie's horror, she discovered that Santa Claus was really a Jynx, an ice type Pokemon. Not only that, the Jynx had taken her doll as well. This is probably one of the things in Jessie's life that lead to her being into Team Rocket. I mean think about it; Jessie's childhood belief had been shattered. She lost all faith in Santa Claus. I would imagine this would make Jessie a bitter person all through her life and somewhere along the line, her bitterness and disappointments in life lead her to join with Team Rocket. In the episode, "Ignorance is Blissey", more is revealed about Jessie's past. When she was younger, probably around the time she was 14 or 15, Jessie entered a Pokemon Nurse School so she could become a nurse. For the most part, the school is for the Pokemon, Chansey. At the school, Jessie became friends with another Chansey who was finding it hard to become a nurse. They helped each other out when they needed it. One day, the class was using the singing technique to put other Pokemon to sleep. And since Jessie wasn't a Chansey, she wasn't immune to the singing so it had put her to sleep, too. The teacher yelled at Jessie and she become disappointed with herself. She believed that she will never become a Pokemon nurse. Her friend, Chansey, came and comforted her. Later on, all the Chansey at the school graduated except Jessie. The Chansey Jessie had become friends with came and offered to give Jessie its nurse hat. But Jessie couldn't accept such an offer and so the Chansey broke the necklace it had in half and gave it to her. They both left each other after that day. Jessie will always remember her special friend. Sometime after Pokemon Nurse School, Jessie joined Pokemon Tech School, even though it was mostly for the wealthy. It was at this school where she had met her life-long partner in crime and best friend, James. There was a test at the school that had to be taken in order to graduate. Jessie and James claimed they had "studied for the big test, so sure they would beat the rest." But then the night before the test, they had "frolicked that night, for their future seemed bright". Because of their over-confidence, they got the lowest grades in the history of the school and were kicked out. Looking towards the high-life, Jessie joined a bridge bike gang in Sunnytown, along with James. In the gang, she was known as "Chainer Jessie" for she always swung a chain above her head whenever she rode her bike. But the gang just called her, "Big Jess". After awhile, she left the gang with James to join Team Rocket, but nothing is really known on why she did this. Perhaps she wanted to become a part of something more; a glamorous type of position, where she could gain power and fame. Deep down, Jessie isn't all that conceited, as she seems to be. Beneath her fierce and self-absorbed exterior, she is just a person who craves attention (it's not that bad, is it?) and wants to be successful in life; she has feelings and does actually care about things and people that are of importance to her. She has a softer, kinder side to her. It's obvious that she does care deeply about James and Meowth. In the episode, "Holy Matrimony!", after it had seemed as though James decided to marry Jessebelle and receive his inheritance, Jessie looked upset about it. The tone of her voice, the way she sighed...she wouldn't admit it, but she certainly would miss James if he really did leave Team Rocket. In the episode, "Meowth Rules!", both Jessie and James made it seem like Meowth was performing the attack, "pay day" by throwing in all the money they had. Meowth had to perform "pay day" for the worshippers who inhabited the island in order for them to receive money and to prevent them from discovering his true identity (they believed he was the, "Great Meowth of Bounty"). If the worshippers discovered who he was, Meowth would be kicked off the island, crushing his happiness. Although Jessie is selfish most of the time, she gave away the money for the sake of Meowth's happiness at the risk of losing one of her only friends and team members. She even agreed to help ash out a few times. |
