When I’m an
Old Man… / When I’m an Old Woman…
When I’m an old man, I’ll
live with my wife in the country near Seoul. I’m going to have many chances
to work for poor people. I will play tennis and swim everyday. Sometimes,
I will go to the field with my family and take
time in nature.
I will take trips many times
with my family or alone because I will need time to be alone. I hope that
my family will not be rich like Bill Gates of Microsoft, but we will be richer
than any other people in our hearts and our thinking.

When I’m an old woman, I’ll live
in Seoul. I’ll be successful in my work, so I’ll get lots of money. I’ll
volunteer with my family in the world, and I’ll travel to many countries
with my husband. I’m not going to have wrinkles on my face because I’ll have
plastic surgery.

When I’m an old man, I’ll live
with my son, my sister and my wife in Seoul. I’ll have short white hair,
and I’ll wear a blue sweater. I’ll eat rice, steak and vegetables. My son
will say, “Father, I don’t like vegetables.” “You will like vegetables!”
I will sit outdoors in a chair. I’ll drink hot tea and tell my life
stories to my son and sister, and sometimes I will play golf with my family.
I’ll feel happy because I lived a very good life. I will spend time this
way.

When I’m an old woman,
I’ll live in the south of my country. I’ll be alone. I’ll have my hair and
the same sweater. I’ll eat good food, and I’ll walk around the big lake thinking
about my life. I’ll have grandchildren, and I’ll talk about my stories.
In the future, I will be a wise person, and I’ll be a good mother
to my children. I hope to be with my husband together in any place.

When I’m an old woman, I’ll
live with my husband close to Lake Lanier. I’ll have long brown hair, and
I’ll wear jeans and sport shoes. I’ll drive to visit my son’s and my daughter’s
home. I’ll cook cake and cookies for my grandchildren. I’ll travel in summer
to different places around the world. I’ll feel happy because I know all
my family is good. I’ll eat all the time. I hope the doctor never says “You
can’t eat this…” I will miss all the times of the past.

When
I think about myself as an old woman, I imagine me and my son and his family
in Mali. I’ll have very white hair like cotton or cotton wool, and I’ll always
put on warm clothes. I’ll always eat mol ou mou food because my teeth
will be in bad health. I’ll have a wisdom tooth. I’ll have a lot of experience
in the life. I’ll play with all my grandchildren and remember my young, young
life, and I’ll think of the life they have before them. I will speak a lot
of the time. One time, I’ll go to ride in my son’s garden, and I’ll always
stand up for his wife all the time and think my son doesn’t like it, but
he doesn’t have any choice. I’m her Mom, her King Mom.

When I’m an old woman, I’ll live
with my husband, and our daughter will live next to us. I will not work and
study. I will have a lot of free time. I will go to the theater to see movies.
I will travel. I will play with my grandchildren. I’ll have short, brown
hair. I’ll eat vegetables and fish.
I will be happy. I’m going to feel good. I hope that I will feel peaceful.

When I’m an old 100-year-old woman,
I will live with my husband, son, daughter, and their children in Seoul.
I will be very healthy. I will take on glass. I’ll wear comfortable pants
and shoes. I’ll hear popular songs, and I’ll like to go shopping.
I’ll see a romantic movie once a week, and I’ll miss several men from
my past. I’ll be happy with my family. They will be pleasant for me.

in Mexico. I will have short, white hair. I’m going to wear long dresses
and jackets. I will eat beans and vegetables. I will drink tea. My son and
daughter will be married. They will have children. Every time, the children
will go to me. I will have a good time. I will live happily.
