My name is Jessica Urban, I am 19 years old and just completed my freshman year at Iowa State University. I have not been back to school, as I have started up an online shop at Etsy.com and would rather become a successful entrepeneur without spending thousands of dollars to go through hellish five-hour studios. I am in love with a wonderful boy named Marshall Lohrenz who is almost a year older than I am. I am a firm believer in the Christian faith, but I don't believe in forcing my opinions on other people. I believe in influencing, but not forcing, and letting people make up their own minds. I am very fond of sarcasm, satire, and dark humor. It often gets misunderstood and has cost me friendships at times. I can also be overcritical of people, but if you can take the heat, I've got a great sense of humor and I'm fairly spontaneous. I listen to a wide range of music, including but not limited to Audio Adrenaline, Billy Joel, Boston, Bread, Cake, Celtic Woman, Coldplay, Dean Martin, Electric Light Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, The King's Singers, Muse, Paul Simon, Poe, Simon and Garfunkel, The Steve Miller Band, and Queen. I don't watch a lot of TV unless it's just on as background noice while I'm working on a project or I have absolutely nothing else to do. I do like a few shows, though, like Best Week Ever and The Soup. My favorite books include The Hiding Place, Why Do Men Have Nipples?, and Wicked, though I used to avidly read the Boxcar Children series, as well as just about anything by Roald Dahl or Lowis Lowry when I was younger. I also intend to start The Chronicles of Narnia again, as I stopped reading when the plotlines got too thick for my third-grade mind. I like to make jewelry, draw, paint, and write in my free time. I would like to start a bead and jewelry shop and do freelance artistry in the future. I think a great goal for anybody is to forget about your own heroes and try to become somebody else's.
