Hi, Im Elizabeth Smith. I am 9 years old and my sister Kate is 6 years old. My sister and I are going to Dolphin Cove tomorrow because it is the summer holidays. Our Mum and Dad are coming too. My Dad is 34 and my Mum is 39. I love them. My Dad is fat, he wears glasses, he has lovely blue eyes, and he works at the Bank of Melbourne and is nearly bald. My Mum is beautiful. She has green eyes like a cat, blonde hair like the sun, she works for the newspaper and loves all animals.

I think we will have a lot of fun at Dolphin Cove. I bet there will be lots of dolphins as it is called Dolphin Cove. An hour ago I asked my sister Kate if she thought we would have a good time at Dolphin Cove and she said yes. I love my sister. She has blue eyes like my Dad, blonde hair like my Mum, loves animals like my Mum and is kind of like a detective like me. I love to look for things with my beautiful blue eyes. I have dark brown hair like my Mums Mum, and I love animals like my Mum and wear glasses like my Dad.

We have been on a plane for a day. I went to sleep on the plane. I think I woke up 3 or 4 times because my sister wanted me to get her a drink. I told her to go to sleep but she couldnt go to sleep without something to drink, so I ended up having to get her something. First she said she wanted juice, then she said she wanted milk, then she said she wanted cordial, so I ended up getting her all three. Then she climbed over my Mum and I to go to the bathroom. When she came back she climbed over Dad. She was being really annoying.

When we got to Dolphin Cove, we rented a car and drove to the Waterfall Hotel. When we got there, the man at the desk (My Mum told my sister that he was called a Desk Clerk) gave us the key to room 567. When we got there we went inside and our Mum told us to unpack. "When you finish unpacking, get your bikini on and I will meet you at the pool. Dont try to unlock the gate yourself, Elizabeth," she said. "Okay, Mum," I said. "I wont."

Today we went sightseeing and I saw some very strange things. There were people coming out of hairdressers and barbers with the same hairstyles. There were identical shops right next to each other and people seemed to be wearing the same clothes. Things were certainly getting weird. Very weird. I said to my sister, Kate, "Do you think something weird is going on." "Yes," she said. "Yes, I do think something weird is going on."

Today we went to Dolphin Cove Beach. I loved it. I loved the sand and the sun. I collected lots of seashells. Strangely, they were all the same. I even saw a crab. It was so cute. I chased after it, but it dug down into the sand, so I couldnt catch it. I think it was scared of me. I also loved the water and the swimming. I would have made it my home if I could have been a mermaid.

"Help!" I heard someone scream. I snapped out of my daydream and found what that person was screaming about.A killer wave! "Help!" I heard someone else scream. I ran to my Mum and whispered to her, "Im scared." My sister whispered "So am I." And then the killer wave hit! And we all ran back to the hotel in a panic! I watched everything being washed back to the hotels and smiled.

".I am pretty sure I saw dolphins on that wave, Kate," I said. "Yeah right," said Kate. That was us arguing together later. I did see dolphins on that wave. But Kate didnt believe me. And just then I was pretty sure I saw a double of me, but I wasnt looking in a mirror. Spooooky! I think those dolphins made copies of us somehow, so now theres two of everything. And I was the only one that noticed!

I looked into the sky that night and couldnt believe my eyes. The sky had a rip in it like a torn curtain. Suddenly I knew what had happened, and I knew that I was the only one that could fix it. So in the morning, very early so Mum and Dad werent awake, I woke Kate up and we built a spaceship with the scrap metal from the damaged hotels. It wasnt a very good one, but it flew. I took my telescope and sewing kit in the spaceship to go to fix the rip in time. I sewed up the rip and the clones of everything disappeared.

Nobody remembered anything weird about our holiday. Even if they did theyd think they were imagining things. I wish I could forget, especially since the shops this morning. There were identical people, clothes and pets everywhere. I hear the tides are rising, too
