What was born in the fall of 2003 is a sound that captures late '90s rock, '70s Southern Rock, and the late '60s pop sensibilities. With a crisp voice, simple melodies, and distinctive chord progressions, The Effects are pure rock 'n roll. In September 2005, The Effects took a detour from the road to stop in Philly to record an album in the vein of rock roots; live and without the use of computers. This working band released their eponymous rurual rock record in September 2005 selling over 1,200 albums to date without the help of a label.
With a continuously growing street team called The Cause, The Effects are able to take their high-energy rock 'n roll antics even further than imagined. So, watch for them because The Effects are everywhere.

I've only managed to see The Effects a few times before, but I had such a great time at every single show I went to. The boys are always accomodating and social with their fans who travel miles upon miles to support them.
I wish I had more to include here, but I haven't really had much of a chance to really get to know these guys on a personal level yet. I do know that at the shows, they are always fun and always interacting with the crowd. That makes for good times all around. If you have a chance to check them out live, don't pass it up. |
