| This is the smallest of three natural craters in Israel. It was made from erosion. A river ended here...with no where for the water to escape to it simply sat here and over millions of years eroded the mountains and made this crater. A big empty hole with mountains all around everywhere you look. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| The craters are famous for their colored sand. Due to certain natural minerals you can find rocks and sand of all different colors in the crater. As we were hiking from one side to the other we passed orange mountains, purple mountains, and then others with a rainbow of colors!! |
