| This summer Anne and I flew to sunny California, but it wasn't really that sunny. It was cold and cloudy for most of our trip, but hey, we just wore layers. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Here we are at the beach in Monterrey. The ocean was beautiful and we saw sailboats sailing on their sides because it was so windy. I was pretty sure that they served me an eel on my salad, but I was wrong. We had an ocean facing table which was a unique experience. There were lots of neat little shops and cafes along Cannery Row. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ! We're pretty sneaky. We saw where they filmed one of my favorite movies, "The Rock". It was incredible how desolate and barren it must have been, but it also was hard to imagine how fearful the prisoners probably were when you're there on a sunny day with your best friend surrounded by gulls and tourists. There was a sign warning us not to smuggle out anyone. We didn't. |

| This is in the Palace of Fine Arts, where Sean Connery's character, John Mason meets up with his daughter. It was pretty. We saw a couple getting their wedding pictures shot there. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| This is at Margaritaville in a ritzy suburb of San Fransisco. The food was great and the company was even better. |
