In September of 1995, I spent a month on Kauai, as the major portion of my sabbatical. Days were spent hiking, snorkeling, reading novels, figuring out jig saw puzzles (when it was raining), exploring and just generally relaxing. I rented an apartment in Hanalei that was just perfect for what I wanted/needed. Below are a few photos that remind me of why I love the island.
