We're living in a world of dishonesty
Tryin' to find the truths in all the lies we believe
We're losing ourselves in the distractions of TV
Givin' in to our addictions that our worse than a disease

And everybody's trying to be anybody but themselves
Why do we waste our time trying to please someone else
We say everybody's equal, but we're still fighting with bigotry
Why do we justify all the hypocrisy

What in the World is with this world
We're falling further from grace
How much more are we gonna tolerate
I think reality needs to slap us in the face

We look in the paper and read of all the misery
Now even our schools aren't a safe place to be
We say optimism comes from naivety
But our dreams our dyin' 'cause we won't believe

We can't stand to see a man reach the top
So we tear him down 'cause we think he's everything we're not
Where are the prayers in all this insanity
Where are the politicians that still teach morality
