SAME DIFFERENCE
We like to point our fingers
We like to point our guns
We fear the unfamiliar
Our ignorance has won
Heartlessness is a disease
It's not cool to be kind
We care about impressions
So we can't open our minds
Why do I feel this alienation
It's like I'm an alien in this nation
We keep building our walls, thick and tall
Can't we shatter our Berlins make them crumble and fall
Don't we all just want to be loved
Then why do we continue to segregate
Don't we all just want to love someone
Then why do we love to hate
and discriminate, isolate, separate
'cause aren't we all living the Same Difference
so now let's take a look at our fate
Categorized coruption
We draw our lines black and white
Forces of dysfunction
Come from how we like to stereotype
So put on our happy face
Deny that loneliness exists
Show off our pride
Show our love with fists
Why did we choose freedom now we chose to stand divided
I can't find consideration, I'm in a world that's one-sided
Why do I feel alone 'cause I know I'm not the only one
How can I call this home when I just want to run
We can't unite 'cause we can't see
that we're all victims of the same story
So look up, shut-up, and take that seat
Let's all take a class on humanity
