Nokia 5100 series
Okay, as you probably know, the Nokia 5100 series is the most popular series of phones out there. They make many different things for those phones. They also have other mini-series within the 5100 big series (such as 5190, 5160, 5130, etc.). All these mini-series are pretty much the same thing. As long as your phone is a 1500 it will fit all the standard- size faceplates, blinking antennas, keypads, everything! You are very lucky to have this series.

Okay. I'm sure you already know how to detach the faceplate from your phone, and to retach them again. This is obvisosly not a very hard step. But, for all you who aren't sure, here's what to do. You start off with TURNING YOUR PHONE OFF! I'm sure a lot of you skip this step because you don't think it matters, but it is highly recommended. After your phone is off, you just simply push the button that is located on the top of your phone, inward. Some are harder than others. I like to use a key with mine, because I'm not strong enough to do it without. But, it scratches your phone at times. So, if you care about the faceplate or plan to re-use it...I wouldn't recomend doing that. Once you get this far, you just pull the faceplate off. Some of them are stubborn, so you may have to apply some effort. But, not too much! You don't want to break it. Okay, so now you're at the step of re-attaching a new faceplate. This is the easy part. I recommend placing the faceplate upside down, with the button keypad already in the faceplate you plan to use. Then, just place the phone into the faceplate. You'll probably have to press in down around the side to make it fit better.

Okay. Well, I really don't recommend doing it yourself because if it's done wrong, you can mess your phone up. And, if you don't have insurance or anything on your phone, that can cost ya a lot. So, for all you persons out there who want to try to do it yourself, I will help ya out. But, just for safety reasons, I need to tell you all that I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE! I am telling you how to do it, but when it comes to these things, it can be very crucial to kind of have a sense of these things. These directions can sometimes be hard to follow/understand. But, if you still interested...let's begin. 1. For starters, turn off your phone. 2. Take your battery off your phone. 3. De-tach your face-plate. 4. There will be four tiny screws in the back of your housing. Un-screw these screws, and place them somewhere you'll be able to find them later. 5. Flip your phone over. There will be two screws towards the top of the white board that has the screen and button board on it. Un-screw these screws and place them with the four other screws you already un-screwed. You don't want to loose any of these screws! 6. Okay, before we go any farther, I'm going to recommend something. As you are taking all these parts off/out of your phone, you need to place them in a way that you'll be able to remember how they go back in. If you don't put the phone back together properly...IT WON'T WORK! 7. Okay, so now we're right in the middle of your phone. You will be at a board looking thing, that has all your phone's "brains" on it. There is a little tiny screw in the middle of this board. Un-screw it. Be careful with this though, don't use too much weight because this board is what makes your phone work. Applying too much weight could ruin it. 8. Okay, now your phone is apart. If you look up towards your antenna you will see a button on the side of your antenna base. Use a flat headed screw driver to press up and in on it. It should come right out. If it doesn't, just keep on trying. It may take a lot of trys. It'll come though, don't worry. **GOOD LUCK**
